crazy over JY.
Jerry mentioned in this UK Telegraph article about Lady Helen Taylor...[excerpts only. click on the link to read the full article.]http://www.telegraph.co.uk/fashion/main.jh.../efarmani10.xmlFrom a bit of a scruff to Armani's ambassador(Filed: 10/04/2006)It is Saturday morning in Shanghai, and it seems many of its 20 million inhabitants are out shopping. A few look curiously at the slender, blonde tourist browsing the stalls and antiques markets in the Old Town. Most stare because of what she is - blonde and beautiful - rather than who she is - Lady Helen Taylor, the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Kent, and a cousin of the Queen. But Lady Helen has never broadcast her royal status and is reluctant even to discuss it. Although she regards her title as a privilege, and admits it would be disingenuous to claim it is not quite useful at times, she prefers to introduce herself simply as Helen Taylor. She is far more ready to chat about her fashion title as an international roving ambassador for Giorgio Armani. Lady Helen, 41, was in Hong Kong and Shanghai last week for gala showings of Armani's Priv¨¦ couture collection - the first in China - as well as the opening of the designer's 30-year retrospective at Shanghai's Art Museum. The Shanghai gala was one of the events of the year, even attracting - in a step that shows how times are changing in China - the daughter of the president, Mrs David Mao.Lady Helen, elegant and assured in a slim, black, silk jersey gown, fastened with a single, crystal-beaded strap, was relaxed and happy to talk art and fashion to guests such as Ziyi Zhang, star of Memoirs of a Geisha, and the Asian superstar Jerry Yan.Thanks zenachu for transferringF4 Interview Coming Up Next Week at CNN Talk Asia
